So much has been happening around here lately and I've been wanting to post about our Logo Designs for a while. Branding is one of the most important steps when you first start a business, and I am passionate about working with business owners to create memorable and effective logo design that reflects your goals, values and the heart of your business.

The branding of your business is so much more than just a logo or flyer. It is about you – who you are and what you stand for. What message do you want your business to speak to clients? What are your values, hopes and goals? These are part of what your branding is all about. I specialize in branding, logos and stationery for small to medium businesses, and am passionate about helping those businesses achieve their goals.

The process begins with a Logo Design Brief that I will send to you. This helps me understand your business goals, values, likes, dislikes and more. We can also arrange a phone consultation or meet in person to discuss your brief. I then develop several concepts and drafts based on what we have discussed, and from there we work together toward refining your Logo Design and applying it in a variety of uses.

I'm super excited to show these photos from a joint effort with Daniel from Keepsake Photography!! If you are a bride planning a beach or nautical wedding day then this photo shoot collaboration is just for you! It took place at Mollymook and has both a rustic and timeless feel to it, keeping the lovely bright florals as the main part of the theme. Often couples can get carried away with choosing typical 'nautical' items for their beach wedding, and they forget that they can include some of the more feminine details. This photo shoot proves that you can combine both beautifully!

Lilygrace Flowers created the floral arrangements and Style My Aisle took care fo teh styling for the photo shoot as well as the Teepee and rustic table. The makeup was by Sophie Rogers Makeup Artist and Percy Handmade let us use some of their gorgeous gowns and hair pieces. To finish it up we used some of our own Sail and Swan product to tie the theme together. Our relaxed, rustic and feminine style matched perfectly!

I hadn't written about wedding planning and ideas in quite a while, so I thought I'd collect some Rustic wedding inspiration for you! Planning for a wedding can get pretty overwhelming at times; the to-do list seems to grow every day, people can have a lot of opinions of what you should do, and there are so many of images on social media to choose from! Out the many options out there, we have chosen a couple of our favourites. These rustic wedding ideas are simple and doable, and will have a lot of impact - definitely worth the effort! Most of the ideas below can fit in or be adapted to a garden wedding, french, vintage, retro or even beach wedding too.

For Sail and Swan 2015 has been off to a great start with one of our favourite Bridal Fairs at the Glen Ewin Estate last weekend! Thank you to all the lovely brides I met on the day as well as some lovely other business owners. I had a fabulous day! Below are some quick snap shots for you to see of the day and of how the Sail and Swan stand was going. There was live music, great food and wine tastings and plenty of great services and product to see. Overall a great vibe throughout the whole day! The Glen Ewin Estate is a stunning venue too with it's modern barn conversion, rustic gatehouse, lake and beautiful grounds. If you live in Adelaide and missed out this time ladies I would highly recommend coming along to next year's fair as they are great fun and very useful for your wedding planning.

Bridal Fairs are a great way of discovering local businesses, as well as new and trendy wedding ideas for your big day. It's also a great chance to get to talk to different businesses and ask many of the questions you may have regarding your wedding.

I can’t believe it has been a month already! I say this often but where all my time goes I just don’t know. I’m still working on new product and designs, but am also so busy with current orders that it’s happening slowly but surely behind the scenes. Having said that, I’m excited to show you these Spring wedding invitations – a lovely re-shoot showing off the beautiful blossoms of this season.

Although these spring wedding invitations will suit a vintage, farm, outdoor or rustic wedding beautifully, they also have a simple and classic feel to them which allows them to be versatile with many different looks and styles. They feature a beautiful calligraphy script font, with leafy wreaths and borders on the sides. This invitation looks beautifully balanced alongside these pale and pretty blossoms, but can also adapt to native Australian flowers.

Here is some recent work of mine - a logo design for A Time for Seasons. This is a beautiful new store that has recently opened on the Main Street in Tanunda SA. It is both a salon and homewares/gift shop in one and it is certainly worth a visit! Run by the beautiful Amanda, it offers fashion, jewellery, candles, gifts and more. Amanda wanted a Logo Design that was soft and feminine but also rustic as well. I incorporated all of this into my design, using soft colours and textures. She has been amazing to work with and I am looking forward to seeing how her store progresses!

I am currently working on some more logo designs at the moment so stay tuned for more work!

Well as you may know I mentioned that I've been wanting to increase my Wedding Stationery range and make that more of a focus for Sail and Swan. Over the last month I have been working hard on some new designs and ideas, have got the final products printed, and am now in the process of styling and photographing them. It's been crazy and fun, busy and exciting! I hope you enjoy the final product :)

Sail the Sea
Below are some photos of my ‘Sail the Sea’ Range which features an old antique map, a ship and a compass. This range works well for a rustic, vintage, nautical or old-world themed weddings. And of course, for anyone who loves to travel! The compass functions as a monogram as well and can be changed to have your own initials or names inside it.

Native Flora
This beautiful theme captures my love for native plants and flowers. It can be printed on plain white paper, brown kraft paper, or even directly onto wood. The ‘Native Flora’ Range features hand drawn illustrations of billy buttons, berries, eucalyptus leaves, field grass and a butterfly. This range works well for a neutral, rustic, vintage, native or garden themed wedding. And of course, for anyone who loves nature!

 Air Mail
This cute and quirky range is all about the beautiful details of air mail. The ‘Air Mail’ Range features old vintage type and decorative borders around the text, as well as a pretty air mail border and red love hearts to match! This range works well for a travel, paper, rustic or vintage themed wedding. Have fun and start your big adventure on your wedding day!
